During tho weekend a low-pressura trough has covered tho Dominion, while anticyclones liavo been situated respectively to the eastward l and over the Western Tasnian Sea. Cloudy to overcast, and, In places, misty conditions have prevailed witli rain at times in most districts. Strong north-west winds blew during Saturday northwards of Westport and Kaikoura, but since Sunday winds have been mainly light to moderate in force and rather variable in direction, although southerlics ruled yesterday up as far as Cook Strait.
