WATT CUP FIELD DAY
' Rain marred the annual Watt Cup i'ield Day at Shandon yesterday, but there was a large muster of Watt Cup team members from the minor clubs.
A fourball best-ball bogey event was won by R. G. Hayward (Shandon) (3) and C. Gyles (Titahi) (12), who finished 7 up. The next best cards were: K. Lulham (7) and H. Boon (6), 4 up; W. J. Davidge (0) and C. Turner (S), P. Burke (8) and K. Jeffery (2).-3 up; J. B. Wallace (6) and R. (i. Holland (5), 2 up. A. fourball medal competition was won by A. Runciman (Shandon), 7S, 10—bS, and J. J. Cheevcrs (Waiwetu). SS, la— 73 with a net score 141. Other cards were: R. F.Aitken, 73, 9-04, and AY. K. Stuekev, 88, B—Bo, net 144, R. G. Holland:, 78, 6-72, and J. B. Wallace, SO, 7--73 145; L. Marsden, 83, 9-74, and J. X. Sherwood, 83, 12—71. 145; R. Mexted. SO, 10-73, and 11. Murphy, So, 13-72, 140. ilr. C. H. Andrews, president ot the Shandon Club, welcomed the visitors, and Mrs J. L. Barnard presented the trophies won during the day. D. A. Crombic, captain of the Titahi Club, and .J. L. Barnard, honorary secretary of the Manor Park Club, returned thanks on behalt ol the visitors.
