DUNEDIN CONFECTIONERY

The amalgamation of two English confectionery companies—John Macintosh and Sons, Ltd., and A. J. Caley and Son, Ltd., with the Phoenix Co., Ltd., of Dunedin, is announced as the result of a recent visit to England by the manager of the local company, Mr. St. Clair Ferguson. The manufacture of the products of the English companies, as well as the numerous lines manufactured by the Phoenix Company, will be carried on at the local company's works in Dunedin. The combination will be known as the Macintosh-Caley-Phoenix Company. Arrangements have been completed for the installation in Dunedin of the latest machinery in use by the English firms.
