A CHRISTCHURCH GIRL?

Kince the appeal of tho Australian police for help in identifying the victim of the Albury murder, the New Zealand police have received dozens of suggestions from the public as to who the girl might be, but so far the- body has not been identified from this country, although all the suggestions offered' to the police- have been, painstakingly followed up. .Tho latest move is the broadcasting from the YA stations of an appeal for help in ascertaining tho whereabouts of Beryl Cashmore, or Cashmore, who is said to have been educated in Christfihurch.

"On August 21 this young woman while in Sydney informed an acquaintance that she had been brought up. iii a convent in New Zealand, the n'anic- of which sounded like 'Newhaven. 1 On August 27 she was seen in Melbourne, when sho stated that she was leaving for Wangaratta, but nothing has since been heard of her. The police will be glad of any information concerning Beryl Cashmore or Cashmere."

-A,' Mrs. Lydia Bagley, of Australia, is reported to have positively identified the Chinese silk pyjamas worn by tho girl murdered at Albury as thoso belonging to a girl whom she knew as "Beryl" Cashmoro.
