RUGBY, October 12. The London County Council HigK ways Committee recommend the adop-. tion of a new design for Waterloo! Bridge submitted by the council' 3 appointed engineers and Sir Gile3 Gilbert Scott. It will have several wido arches, the northern one stretching over the Embankment into tha river. '
