SPLIT IN GERMAN CHURCH
PRIMATE GIVES FINAL BLOW

The Berlin correspondent of "The Times'' says that Dr. Mueller, the Primate, delivered a final blow to the last resisting churches. .
Dr. Jager, accompanied by secret police, entered church premises at 'Munich, and proclaimed a reorganisation of the. Bavarian Church into two dioceses, each of which will have a Lutheran bishop, while Bishop Meiser will be compulsorily retired. Mean-, while, a spiritual commissar has beea appointed. When Dr. Mueller was interviewed at Wurtemburg he announced the compul*sory retirement of Bishop. Wurin. Immediately the Munich coup. wa3 known, services of intercession and protest were hastily arranged in the churches. Bishop Meiser, addressing 5000 people, declared that the church was split for-purposes of destruction. He announced that he would resist such, usurpation. Bishop Meiser, on leaving the church, was surrounded by a cheering crowd. The police intervened, and several were injured."
