DEATH AND THE NEGRO

Once upon, a time Francisco Antonio ie Lima, a negro, was guitar player to King Carlos I of Portugal. Recently he was found wandering from fair to fair playing his guitar. The negro haß a birth certificate which declares that he was born on Boavista Island, in the Cape Verde group, in 1802. But he is very reluctant to talk about his age, because he says that death has forgotten him, and" he does not want to say anything which will act as a reminder.
