SOUTHLAND'S "DARK HORSE."— The three-year-old Paladin gelding Tauramai, who last Saturday secured a runaway victory in the Dunedin Guineas, the second of the season's classics. Tauramai, who is owned by Mr. A. C. Mills, of Otautau, had previously started only once under colours, two days earlier, and he then ran second last in a novice event. He is trained by A. McKay - at Riverton.
