WOMEN'S CRICKET

Enthusiasm for women's cricket in Wellington is keen, and interest has been stirred greatly by the prospect of seeing the English women cricket representatives in action here this season. New clubs have been formed, and so many more players are taking up the game that it will not be easy to nicet the demand for wickets. It is to be hoped that the ladies will be given a real chance of advancement by providing them with good wickets, and by offering them help in the matter of coaching. Any cricketers willing to help the girls at practice are asked to communicate with the writer. The girls are keen to reach as high a standard of play as possible before the redoubtable English team arrives, and assistance in the matter of coaching will bo greatly appreciated.
