OTAGO FARMERS PUZZLED

(By Telegraph)

(Special to the "Evening Post.")

DUNEDIN, This Day

In Otago the sowing of wheat is puzzling farmers this year. Much of the ground intended for wheat could not bo prepared for early sowing, being too wet, and even now there are areas in which excessive moisture still lies. It is certain, therefore, that less seed will bo got in this season than was planned for, so tho next harvest may be appreciably lighter than usual. Whether flour will rise in price in consequence is another matter.
