LYALL BAY CLUB
For the twenty-fifth annual general meeting of the Lyall Bay Surf and Lifetaving Club' a record number of keen and enthusiastic members were present.
In moving the adoption of the annual report, the chairman (Mr. P. Coira, club captain) stated that he was very proud of the excellent lesults achieved last season. To win 10 out of 12 senior lifesaving events and 10 out of 12 swimming championship events was a record that he ventured to state would stand for many years. He congratulated the members on the fine manner in which they had supported their club, and hoped that they would always continue in that spirit. To be able to again record the total absence of serious or fatal accidents during the year was n most pleasing feature of the report, and this was no doubt due to the strict watch kept at all times by the members, as minor assistance was rendered on several occasions.
