TOMORROW'S EVENTS
In preparation for the opening of the season local cricketers will have the opportunity tomorrow afternoon of getting in some practice, either at the nets or in matches which have been arranged.. The Kilbiruie Cricket Club is opening its season tomorrow, as also is the Karon Cricket Club, and for the occasion special matches have been arranged. At the Kilbirnie Recreation Reserve the first and second elevens of the Kilbirnie Club will play matches with corresponding teams from the Wellington Cricket Club, and there will be two other matches for remaining Kilbirnie players. Play is to commence •at 1.30 p.m., and Mr. W. J. Gaudin,'"patron of the Kilbirnie Club will officially declare the season open at 4 p.m. The Karqri Club's opening will take place at Karori Park, the president (Mr. Edwards) declaring the season open at 3 p.m., though play will begin early in the afternoon. The club's honorary membership campaign is expected to account for one of the largest attendances of members on record for opening day. TEAMS. Bing Harris and Co., Ltd., Married v.
