Mr. R. W. Bothamley (oliairman) has been appointed the Makara County Council's representative on the "Wellington Free Ambulance Board.
The death of the late Mr. D. .MoKenzie, Mayor of Petone, was referred to by the Mayor of "Wellington. (Mr. T. C. A. Hislop) at last night's meeting of the City Council. Having spoken of the late Mr. McKenzie's career and great work, Mr. Hislop moved that the council record its sympathy with the relatives, and convey to the Petone Borough Council and citizens its • sympathy in their loss. The resolution was carried. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the-late Mr. McKenzie was passed by the- Makara County] Council today. Dr. G. Cunningham (Palmerston North), Messrs. J. E. Sewell (Christchurch), F. Perkins and J. Sim (Pukekohe), D. Jeune (Fairlie), and D. Beard (Wanganui) are at the Grand Hotel. Messrs. G. F. Colbeck (Christchurch), E. 0. Montgomerie (Wanganui), C. T. Haberfield (Timaru), C. A. Scott (Auckland), and J. A.Mathewsdn (Dunedin) are at the Royal Oak Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. S. Bates (Palmerston North), Messrs. C. Ashton, B. Morgan, A. Russell, and A. H. Champion (Auckland), I. S. Macdonald (Dunedin), and J. A. Overdiep (Sydney) are at the Hotel St. George. Messrs. W. E. Moody (Auckland), F. C. Ellis (Gisborne), J. Jefferies (Blenheim), J. C. Francis (Foxton), E. E. Nicolson (Dunodin), and G. N. Waller (Christchureh) are at the Empire Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. P. F. Wall (Hatuma), Messrs F. Foley (San Francisco), H. J. Howatt (Sydney), J. H. Cunningham and G. W. Skellerup (Christchureh), J. A. C. Allum (Auckland), and H. E. Farr (Dunedin) are at the Midland Hotel. ■■ ■
