MR. A. LIEBEZEIT
The death of Mr. Adolpli Liebezoit, a prominent business man in the Hutt Valley, occurred today at the age of 68 years.
The late Mr. Liebezoit, who was born in Saxony, had some experience as a sailor in his early days. He came to New Zealand as a young man, having first been to Australia. He returned to Australia from New Zealand for a short period, but apart from this he lived in Petone for more than forty years. After working in Wellington for a short time he started in business as a wicker worker in Sydney Street, Pctone, afterwards moving to Ja-ckson Street. He learnt the trade in Germany. He had to give up wicker working on account of his health, and commenced in the china and glassware business. The late Mr. Liebezeit, who was a popular figure in both boroughs, was an elder of the Church of Christ. As a young man he was interested in school committee matters, and was a vice-president of many sporting clubs. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity. His wife predeceased him, and he is survived by
his sons, Messrs. August and Noel Liebezeit, and a daughter, Miss Olga Liebezeit.
