Dixon presided over a'fair attendance.-Bro: F. Johnson reported on;a recent meeting of the Wellington Provincial Council. Two members were reported .sick. The annual meeting of the Wellington United Friendly-Societies'' Council was held-i-ecently,' the president, Bro. Gill, presiding lover a. good- attendance. The question of representation on the Hospital Board by friendly societies was discussed and it was decided "That;representatives of the. friendly societies be brought together to formulate a policy and arrange finance to put into operation an approved campaign." •:■ The secretary, reported that Zealandia Lodge, 1.0.0. F., had won the AV.F.S. '•'500" Shield. The resignation of the-secretary, Bro. A.Smith, was accepted with regret, and a vote of appreciation for his services was recorded. The following officers'wsre elected for" the ensuing year: President, Bro.'.J. Barras .. (1.0. R.); vicepresident, Bro. Griffiths (A.0.F.); secretary, Bro. H. J. Willis (U.A.0.D.); treasurer, Bro.
