LOCAL MANAGEMENT
Glub-to-club transfers of the Wellington Football Association are to close on Wednesday next at 5 p.m., after which no transfers will be granted unless the circumstances are exceptional. A decision to this effect was made by the meeting of the management committee of- the association., over which Mr. W. B. Hicks presided, last night. .
A first A division trial match, Possibles v. Probables, is to be played on July.7 in preparation for the Wellington-Auckland match on July 21.
A Diamond second A division player '■was reported. by a referee as having been ordered off the field of play. Both player and referee appeared before the committee and the player was suspended for the rest of the season.
The attention of the Petone Borough Council is to be called to the unsatisfactory state of the Soccer area on the Petone ; Recreation Ground, the association having been informed that the trouble is due principally to the use of the ground throughout the week by unauthorised players. '
The following transfers were granted:— J. Clentworth from. Technical Old Boys to Marist; G. Tutty from Lower Hutt.to Onslow; J. Dougal from Lower Hutt to Onslow. "i
Fixtures for Saturday, June 30, were made as follows:—Local final Chatham Cup: Hospital v. Petone, Basin Reserve No. 1, 2.30 p.m. First A division: Marist y. Natla, Kelburn Park, 2.45 p.m.; Diamond v. Swifts* Basin Reserve No.'2, 2.30 p.m.; Lower Hutt-v. Waterside, Hutt Recreation Ground, 2.45 p.m. First B division: Institute v. Island Bay, Wakefield Park No. 1; Onslow v. Stop Out, Kilbirnie Park No. 2; Miramar Rangers v. Seatoun, Seatoun Park; Rovers v. Technical Old Boys, Petone: Recreation Ground.
