TEPID SALT WATER BATHS
(To tHe Editor.)
Sir, —I was very pleased to read in the ''Evening Post'■'- of-Friday that the City Council, in deciding "on the site for the new library, has not forgotten the promise to provide us with tepid salt water baths. These are almost as essential to a city the size of Wellington as a library. If the site is big enough for both, T would like to suggest that the two buildings be erected in conjunction with one another. I.hope also that when plans, are being prepared the; council willV'give full consideration to the: request made byj swimmers to have; a larger bath of 50 metres in length"by 60 feet wide. This I is the standard size' of baths now being erected all over the world. The alternative site mentioned is-also a good one. "We; all: hope that Councillor Burns will still keep oh doing his best for swimmers and persuade the council to pn>vide a long-looked-for necessity.—l am, C "' .^: ' v : SWIMMEE.;
