A FINE RECORD
MARANUI JUNIORS
The success and efficiency of the club's junior teams was remarked upon by several speakers at the juniors' evening held I by the Maranui Surf and Life-saving Club on Saturday. Mr. l\ Chapman, chairman o£ the executive committee, was iv the chair. In welcoming the visitors to the clubhouse, Mr. T. G; Queree,. president of the club, said that inasmuch as they were in many cases iiaviug their first experience of club life, the junior members were more, interesting than the seniors. The club as a whole had not had the success last season of previous years, but such was inevitable. One thing. which was notable was the work-put.in by the. junior teams. ■ ■ .'.-.- * :*•
It was largely - a junior team which had gone to Castlecliff to contest" the West Coast championships, and had had to contend with the beat on the coast Although the team did not iun, he was proud to say that it was not far be hind;
