WEDDING
NEWMAN—HUNT,
St. John's' Anglican Church, Wakefield, was well filled for the marriage of Ellen, second daughter of Mrs, Hunt and the late Mr. George; N. Hunt, "Wantwood," Wakefield, Nelson, and granddaughter, of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Bradey, Pahautanui, to Alex, third son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Kewman; Brightwater. Archdeacon J, E. Dart, Nelson, and one time of Wakefield, performed th/c: cei'dmon'y. ;.Tho Ichurch was beautifully decorated by. friends of.'the bride in. iautumn tints with bowls of deep cremo and mauve chrysanthemums, . • .
The brido was escorted by-her uncle,] Mr. A, J. Bradey, Wellington, She wore a beautiful gown of parchment ring velvet, tho skirt cut in a long continuous panel at the back to form a train. Tlio sleeves were long and close-fitting.to the. 'wi-ist... 'A veil of matching tulle wiis. wjorn with a .twist of velvet caught- at. eitlier side with oraugo blossom, A shoaf of begonias and roses iv tawny shades was carried. Miss Betty Hunt (bridesmaid) also wore parchment ring velvet, which was close fitting to the knees and flared to tho ground, with cowl-like sleeves to the wrist. She wore a rnauvo velvet
hat, and carried a posy of doop crome and mauve begonias.
Mr. Koss No.wman, Wellington, brother of the bridegroom, was bost man.
A reception was., held at "Balgowan," only relatives being-present' owing to a recent boreavemont in the bride's family. , Mrs, Hunt received her guests, wearing a. black model coat, under which was worn a black crinkle crepo frock flecked with red and white. She woro a black velvet hat, and carried a posy of apricot begonias. The bridegroom's mother, Mrs. T. Newman, wore a black frock relieved with white, black hat and stole. Shecarr ried a pTetty red posy. .When the brido and bridegroom left, for a motor tour of tho South Island, the bride travelled in{ a smart fawn tweed suit and brown velour hat. -■-• --'■'■■ : :■
