COUNCIL WAGES

. Through an error in an article, "Council Wages," in Saturday's "Post," it was made to appear that Councillor Eraser had moved the resolution, in July^ 1931, which resulted in married men in, receipt of £4 per week and less being exempted from a wages cut. This motion was moved by Councillor T. "Forsyth, not by Councillor Fraser. Bef erring to the maater today, Councillor Frascr said that obviously ho could not have moved such a motion as he was riot at that time a member of the council. He also asked that it should be made clear that Councillor W. Duncan had. voted in favour of a 10 per cent, restoration of wages to those receiving £250 and under per annum rather than for a 2 per cent, reduction of Tates.
