"Without dissent the council of the New Zealand' Pig Breeders' Association decided to urge the authorities to lift the embargo on the importation of stock from Britain. • Members" criticised the methods by which animals shipped to Canada were then sent on to New Zealand. A letter was received from the Eyeland Sheep Society of New Zealand asking support for a request to the Government to permit one shipment of stock each year from Britain.
