Mew dominion agreement

Representatives of the shipping companies met this morning to consider the position regarding a new agreement covering wages and conditions of employment for waterside' workers throughout the Dominion. A conference with representatives of the Waterside Workers' Federation is taking place this afternoon. Tho 1932 agreement, which expired last November, is still in force and will continue to operate until such time as a new agreement has been reached between tho parties.

Work under normal conditions was resumed on tho Wellington waterfront this morning after a hold-up on a number of vessels yesterday in connection with tho movement by tho watersidcrs for a new agreement.
