RACING IN SINGAPORE
The.racing season in Singapore for the i>ast year has been one of the most successful on record, despite the slump in rubber prices, states ail exchange. Th,e figures just, issued show that'out of the 18 clays on which racing took place, the stakes amounted to £40,000, and the Singapore Turf Club finished with a surplus of approximately £13,000. The Government received over £24,000' in taxation dues lioni the iotalisatoi- and the sweepstakes.
