Altliough- ■ a. : number of Wellington athletes will M', competing at the Motueka Club's Easier/fixture at Motueka, for the majorityXof .locaKcompetitors the meeting held at the'-Basini, Reserve last evening under:, the-.imanagement o£- the Athletic Sports Caubnvaa the last of the 1933-34 [season. A good programme was provided, and there ;was some keen competition. Particularly ,was this 'so in the- three miles scratch1 Sice/ in; which;.the honours were shared by>:lj. Cooke (Athletic), A. jM: Atton, theSJSa^y runtier, and R. C.IMorpeth (University). This-trio kept together for the greater pai-t'ofthe distance.
