WESLEY CLUB
Ihe annual general meeting of the ■Wesley Hockey Club was held laat week when' the president (the Rev. T. R. KichardsJ presided over an attendance of 24. The annual report disclosed a satis-tactoi-y season, the club entering seven teams, two. of which - finished second in their respective grades. Visits were made to Wangamri Wesley and CartertOii, and Wanganui paid a return visit to challenge tor the Philpotts Cup, which was won by Wellington. Several players .gained representative honours during the season. The financial statement showed a fairly substantial loss for the year, due to further reductions made in subscriptions to assist members. The club's position, however, is still sound. ' '

Nine new members were elected. Votes of thanks were passed to the president, the patron, rand Mr.' G. S. Chisholm for their interest and assistance during the year. . .' , .•:•■ ■~.
