Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report:—At the sales held on March "2 competition-- was fairly animated. Good selection and good attendance of buyers Home trade and Continent principal operators. As compared with closing rates.of last series, fine crossbred 5 per cent. lower crossbreds, medium and low, V/ 2 per cent ■ to 10 per cent., lower, lambs 5 per cent' ™er; ,35- I)ales lvel'.i; offered, of which 0000 sold. The following is the range of prices realised: Merino, three-quarter to full woolled lOd to 12d per Ib, quarter to half woollen 5d to 9i£d, short and shorn 3d to 6%d;-crossbred, three-quarter to full woolled, fine B%d to Is o%d, three-quarter to full woolled, medium and coarse SYzd to.SSid, quarter, to half woolled, fine 7JAd to lOd, quarter to half »woolled, medium and coarse 5d to 6%d. short and shorn 4'/2d to 6%d; lambs, 6?4d,t0 ll%d. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, Company, Limited has received the .- following advice' from its London house, dated March * 23:— ■■•'., ."Sheepskins:l Prices are lower par to ■5-per cent, for merino; prices are lower 5 per ceilt. for fine crossbred; prices ai;e lower VA to-10 per tent. for medium and coarse crossbred; fair demand. Full-" woolled sound pelt prices were, as follows:—s6 to 58's ]2%d per lb. threequarter U'/icl, half -9.94 d; 48 to 50's, full IOHd. three-quarter 91id, half B%d; 44 to 46 a full 7 f/ 2 d. three-quarter ' 7d, half fi%d; 40V full 6%d, three-quarter CUtl. half 6%d;-short and shorn 4%d to G'/i."
