EPSOM AFTER ADDiNGTON

An enterprising move in arranging for the champion Australian pacer Walla Walla to appear at Epsom has been made by the Auckland * Trotting Club. The secretary ■ (Mr. A. G. Mabee) stated last Friday that Walla Walla would compete at the club's Autumn Meeting, on Saturday, April 2S, and also at the Northland Trotting Club's Annual Meeting, to be held in conjunction, at Epsom, on Monday, April 30. The dub is also negotiating for several of the fastest. horses in New Zealand to come north and compete against Walla Walla. It is px-oposed to'stage an invitation match for a substantial stake over either one mile and a-quarter or one mile and a half, as well as a two miles handicap event, with a limit of 4.25. Similar races will be included iv the Northland Club's programme.. The horses likely to go north are Harold Logan, Red Shadow, Roi I'Or, Indianapolis, and Kingcraft.
