IRON ON RAILWAY LINE
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) TE 'AWAMDTU, March 24. . A few hours before the southbound Main Trunk expresses passed/last evening, surfacemen discovered a piece of iron'on the rails a few hundred yards north of the To Awamutu railway yard. The obstruction was of sufficient size to cause the derailment of any engine. An inquiry was instituted at once, and the police and officials . revealed this morning that the obstruction was placed on the line by a lad of 8-i years while playing. - ■ ' • . : ■■ • ■■ •• - - ..-•
