Iv the triangular contest for the Sta,nsell Shield, between the Hataitai, Seatoun, and Lyall Bay Clubs, Seatoun was successful in annexing the trophy. The games resulted as follows: —lirst round:' Hataitai, 2 losses; Seatoun, .2 wins: Lyall Bay, 1 \yin, 1 loss." Second round: Hataitai. 1 win, 1 loss: Seatoun, Vii wins; Lyall Bay, % win, 1 loss. Seatoun won easily, with 3Vz wins out of 4, a 1 success which was well deserved, as on-the day their bowlers were at their best and outplayed their opponents. The Lyall Bay Club had previously held the shield for three years in succession.
