HUTT CLUB
The Hutt Golf Club's season was officially opened on Saturday afternoon, visitors being present'from the Miramar, Wellington, Shandon, Titahi Bay, Te Marua, Waiwetu, and Paekakariki Clubs. About forty couples took part in a mixed foursome bogey competition. The winners, Mr. and Mrs. H. K. Adamson, 7 up, with. a handicap of 9, handed in an outstanding card. Their stroke score was 76. At the conclusion of the competition, Mr. C. A. Burgess, club captain, presented the trophies and congratulated the winners on their performances. He also presented to Mr. R. B. Wheeley a- cup for winning the summer competition. A stroke competition played during the weekend resulted in a tie between P. C. Miles, 89, 15—74, and W. G. Fisher, 73, 5—74.
