—The "annual contest for the Swimmers' Memorial Cupj conducted by the 'Wellington Amateur Swimming Club, was held yesterday morning at Te.Aro Baths. Lyall Bay won the trophy -from Maranui, the previous holders, by the small margin of 13 2-5 seconds. . - "'■'■; '■• The contest,is between teams of four men, each of whom, has'to swim out 20 yards to a member of his team and cow him by one of the first four rescue methods of the Royal Life-Eaving Society to the starting point.
