Ihe official opening of the Masterton Golf Club's season took place at the Lan»downe links -on Saturday afternoon in the presence of about 200 players and members.. ■".-..- The president, "Mr. S. J.W. Gill, wished' the club and members every success duiing the season. He congratulated T.H. Horton and J. P. Hornabrook oh having been selected to represent New Zealand in the Kirk-Windeyer Cup matchesf •■witk New South Wales. ... A mixed foursome was played over-15 holes, the best cards handed in being as follows:—SlissJ. Hornabrook and T. H. Horton, 59, 3—56; Mr. and Mrs; H. L. Esau, 74, 14—60; -Mrs. Davis and J. C.
