HUTT VALLEY SOCIETY
At the annual: meeting of the Hull ralley Poultry and Cage Bird Society, .hich was presided over By Mr: H. A. .iicas?, it was reported that the memberhip of. the'society had been well mainained. The statement of accounts showed thriving state of affairs. The sum of 235 had been paid off by the cage fund, he accumulated fund stood at £191 18s Ud, fter allowing 10 per cent, depreciation on he society's property. A small credit alance was carried forward. The oflioers elected were:—President, Ir. E. B. Waiuscott; Vice-presidents lesdames Eagles and Williams. Lieut.--olonel G. H. N. Forbes, and Messrs. R. The first show of the society will, it is oped, be held in June, and it was reorted that the following championships aye been allocated to the club:— Imorcas, fancy and utility. Indian runner ucks, fawn and white, utility and mules ght (certificate only)*. Though much had' been done it was tated, towards promoting and fostering he production and exhibition of birds,' it i-fls realised that there was still* a wide eld of work which could be undertaken or the benefit of the district, were the icc-essary finnnee forthcoming.
