Official Now Zealand circles are surprised at Mr. Dynes Fulton's statement, in view* of Britain's recent rejection of New Zealand's tentative proposal to allow British goods practically a free market in the Dominion in return for the free entry of New Zealand produce into Britain after the Ottawa ' <*reements expire.

It isstated that Britain, despite the offer, is determined in the interests of her own farmers, to regulate the imports of New Zealand and other Dominion produce.
