NEW ZEALAND BUTTER
(To the Editor.) Sir, —I wonder if "Another Englishman" has tasted New Zealand butter as a frozen product. During a visit Home two years ago I had New Zealand butter delivered regularly to me in Scotland through the Dairy Produce Board. My friends declared it second to none,' and even preferred it to the fresh local stuff. The butter was sent (41b) packed in a carton, each pound being wrapped separately and stamped with a well-known brand. However, in all fairness, I must relate another side of the question. During a visit to Preston, Lancashire, I naturally inquired as to the sale of our primary export, and was told by one merchant that he bought some New Zealand butter in bulk, and received ,somany ; complaints that he dumped the remainder, {rather, than! risk losing business."That isKonly. one ; instance, but it gdesto prove that.inferior grades are also shipped from,this.country. . .The remedy Jies with the farmers here, who should, see; to'"it" that only the best is good enough for export.—l am, etc, • HOUSEWIFE. ...
