AN-ENJOYABLE DANdE

The Jbhnsonville branch of the Eeturned Soldiers' Association hel(J. a very enjoyable dance in thd ■ Parish Hall, which was attractively decorated in coloured lights and flags, the background being a painting of "a battleship. The; Maori orchestra' was, in' attendance, and extras were played by Miss N. Round, Mrs. Woolston, Mr.J. L. Forsyth, and S. Jones. The Monte Carlo,Lwaltz, and foxtrot, were won by Miss E. Eeeve a"hd Mr. F. Andrews, Miss Symonds and Mr. J. Lee, A good supper was served by the ladies' committee, the duties of M.C. being in the capable hands of Mr. W. Eichards. Among those,present were Messrs. F. Jacobs, C. Eeeves, A. Symonds, S. Chalmers, W. Eichards, A. Harrison, C. Adams and L. Myers (committee), Mesdames Johnson, Cameron, Woods, Green, Fisher,.
