SALVATION ARMY CADETS
Thirty-seven cadets .from various - parts of the Dominion were welcomed 'to Wellington last evening at a gathering in the Salvation Army Training College in Aro Street, presided over by Colonel A; Orsborn, chief secretary, who is to superintend the session. Others present included Major A. Hildrcth . (second in command), Major E. Smith, (women's side officer), LieutenantsColonel Walls, McAulay, and-Hamil-ton, and Brigadiers Scotney, Church, ' Wilson, and Imrie. Messages of greeting were read from Commissioner J. Cunningham and Lieutenant-Colonel P. Burton, who were unable to be present. .•-.--. A welcome was expressed to .the cadets by Brigadier A. Wilson, candidates' secretary, Lieutenant-Colonel C. Walls, national young people's secretary, Brigadier J. Omrie, trade secretary, Major E. Smith,'women's side officer, Major A. Hildreth, second -in" command of the training college, Mrs. Colonel Orsborn, and Colonel Orsborn. A number of the' cadets responded, : expressing their hopes for useful service.
