THE RESERVE BANK
NEW ZEALAND INSTITUTION
GOVERNOR ARRIVES
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ■ AUCKLAND, This Day. The definite object of the Governor .of the Reserve Bank (Mr. Leslie Lefeaux), who arrived by the Rangitane this morning, is to make the institution an entirely New Zealand bank, and for that reason he has come out without anyone from England, not even a secretary. "I don't want New Zealanders to regard the bank as a foreign interloper," he said. "It will be entirely a Dominion bank, for the benefit of New Zealanders as a whole." Mr. Lefeaux has an engaging personality, and is 48 years of age., His wife and daughter will arrive in six months.
