WELLINGTON PRESBYTERY
The monthly meeting of the Wellington i Presbytery last evening was presided over by the Rev. J. R. Blanchard, Moderator. I The Moderator reported that on behalf lof the Presbytery he had dedicated an I I extension to the premises at the Petone | j Church. A fine service had been held, and he suggested that the Presbytery should congratulate the church and the minister (the Rev. J. C. Loan) on the advances made and the healthy state of the congregation. This was agreed to. The Rev. R. J. Howie resigned as Presbytery representative on the 2YA Church Services Committee, and on the Presbyterian Social Service and Orphanage Associations To the former position, the Rev. J. R. Blanchard was appointed. The Youth Comrhittee recommended that ministers be urged to use to the utmost the. facilities offered, for teaching the Bible in schools, and to. co-operate with ministers of other denominations and. lay workers. .- •. ' . Mr. J. A. Loan, son of the Rew J. O; Loan, of Petone, was received, as a student preparing for the foreign medical-mission work of the Church.. . . ;...-.
