Mrs. Walter Hislop, Easdale Street, returned on Sunday from a visit to her daughter, Mrs. Brian Trolove, ' 'Parakawa," Blenheim. Miss Pamela Fell, Nelson, who has been staying with Mrs. Marshall, Lower Hutt, returned home today.- : Mr. and Mrs. Reg. Davis, Palmerston North, are staying with Mrs, P. Nathan at Karori. Mrs. Scott, Christohurch, is staying with Mrs. Handyside, Lower -Hutt/She will later visit Mrs. A. H. Miles, Hobson Street. Mrs. "WV Hill, Featherston, is the guest of Dr. and Mrs. R. O'Rcgan. Boulcott Street. ' ■ Mrs. Carwell-Cooke and Miss Ncster Carwell-Cooke are spending a few weeks at Kawatieri Beach. • ' Miss Joy Pearson .will leave by,the Wanganella to spend some weeks in Sydney. Mrs. K. E. McLean, Havclock North, has left for Christchurch to visit her brother, the Rev. J. L. Me William, Latimer Square. Mrs. Hubert Keeling, Karori, Tins left to visit Mrs. A. B. Pearson, Ghristchurch. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. McDougall and Miss_ Livingston, Dunedin, arrived in Wellington this morning, and" will leave tomorrow for Sydney by the AVanganella to join 'the Oronsay for England. Mrs. Bagge, London, who has spent some time in New Zealand, is returning to England by the Wanganella on Thursday, connecting with -the Ceramic at Sydney. A Pre3s Association message from Dunedin states that it is reported that Sir Montague Barlow, a distinguished English visitor, has become engaged to Miss Reed, with whom he arid his sister, Miss Evelyn Barlow, are at present touring the Dominion. The marriage, it is stated, is to take place at .Christchurch this week. ' ; Miss Maiy Burges-Watson and' Miss Dolly Vaile, Auckland, will arrive in Wellington on Monday, and -will stay with Mrs. W.E. Herbert at Heretaunga. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Geach,; Sydney, who have been Visiting Wellington, and have been the guests of Mrs. W. E. Herbert, Heretaunga, recently, leave for Sydney by the Wanganella; tomorrow. ' ■ . . '■.-.
