JUTE POSITION. Private cabled advices from Calcutta received tbis week show that the market is steadily firming and the slow upward tendency of the past three months continues. " Of the 252,000 bales of wool offered for sale by auction in South Africa between July 1 and November 30, 197,000 bales •were sold. The average export price of the greasy wool exported during the five months was IOHd a lb.
