BLENHEIM, This Day. iiavmg been advised that there is no power tor a secondary school authority to dismiss a woman teacher on her marriage, though such power is in the hands of primary school authorities, the Marlborough. College Board of Governors is to request the Minister, of Education to take steps to have the legislation amended next session of Parliament. '
The Ladies' Golf Union competition, winch was to have been held on Wednesday, .March 14, has been postponed. Owing to unfavourable weather conditions the sports meeting which was to have heen conducted at the Basin Reserve ast evening by the Olympic Amateur Athletic Club was-postponed until nest Monday. j
