CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS

The Wellington Bowling Centre's champion of champion rinks competition is to be played at the Wellington Bowling Club tomorrow and on Thursday. With eighteen clubs taking part, the event promises to be keenly contested, and should reveal play of a high standard. A complete list of those to participate in the centre championship was not available today. A number of the rinks, however, have been published in "The Post." The Wellington Club is to be represented by Fowler, Wilmot, Duncan, and Porteous (s), who, as winners of section B in the club competition, defeated Donovan, ■Noad, Penliiigton, and Wood, winners of section A. Lyall Bay will be represented by J. Donald, G. Bradley, F. Hazlewood, I. B. Reid (s). In a closely-contested game to determine the club champion rink, Reid defeated Bvackenridge by one point. For the champion of champion rinks tomorrow the draw is as follows:— First Round, 9 a.m.—Seatoun v. Petone; Central v. Hutt. Second Round, 9 a.m. —Thorndon v. Johnsonville; Karori v. Victoria; Island Bay v. Hataitai. 1 p.m.—Kelburn v. Khandallaji; Newtown v. Lyall Bay; Woburn v. Wellington; Eastbourne v. Upper Hutt.
