The wedding was solemnised recently at the Trinity Church of Elva Violet (Billy), only daughter of Mrs. Patten, to Kenneth MacKenzie, younger son of Mrs. Hill and the late Mr. C. H. Hill. The bride, who was escorted by her uncle,' Mr. Fred King, wore a lovely gown of cream duchess satin on. si.mple lines with long train and carried a , sheath of lilies and carnations, i Misses Natalie Titchner and Delva ■ Ewart were bridesmaids. Both were, charmingly attired in pale green Tosca net and little caps and carried bouquets to tone. „.'.-' At the' reception, the guests were received by/the bride's mother, who wore blue georgette and lace with picture hat. She was assisted by tr^e bridegroom's mother '(hi. black mariette with touches of white) and the bride's aunt (in black and white with picture hat). Mr. and Mrs. Hill left for the South Island, the bride travelling in a brown ensemble.
