POLICE RAID
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, January 28. In a raid by police at the public bar of the Cariton Hotel at midday yesterday three men, Alexander Gourlay (barman), James Kennedy and James Ernest Gillan (assistant barmen), were arrested in - connection with, alleged breaches of tho Gaming Act. Tho arrests were made so suddenly and quietly that those present in tho bar had little time to realise what was happening. , I Later the men were brought before j Mr. Watts, J.P., and remanded on bail to appear at the Police Court later.
