ALLEGATIONS DENIED
(By Telegraph.— Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. At a meeting yesterday of tho executives of branches affiliated with tho National Union of Unemployed and the Auckland Provincial.Unemployed Asso-j ciation, it was unanimously resolved to j deny all allegations of the, association's I participation in /tho taking of a ballot on the strike action. ' i It was resolved that the indiscriminate method of taking ballots did not permit of a true verdict being obtained, and further, that women were not given the right to record votes. The resolution continued:—"We, therefore, desire to mako known our refusal to take part in tho conduct of a ballot, believing that the. outcome of such methods can only. result in alienating public sympathy, and in inflicting upon women and children further hardships and misery; at tho same time, we call upon subscribers to tho Unemployment Fund to demand that the suffering section of humanity bo adequately provided for."
