Tho writer states that tho Prince was spending a holiday at Le TOuquet and drove to the Casino one evening, leaving later in a friend's car to attend a private dance. , : The Prince instructed his chauffeur to garage his own car, and the chauffeur had gone about 1000 yards when the front wheels flew off and the car crashed-into a wall. Obviously the nuts on the wheels had been loosened. Tho chauffeur swore that he had not left the car all night, but it was proved that ho had visited a cafe for a drink. The culprit could not be traced, and the mystexy remained unsolved.
