■ SYDNEY, January 26. Results .'n the Australian tennis championships' arc:— Men's Singles.—Semi-finals: F. J. Perry (England) defeated MeGKath, 2-6, 5 : 7, 6-4, 64, 6-1; JI C. Crawford "defeated A. K. Quistf, 64, 6-2, 6-2. Men's Doubles.—Final: Perry and G. Hughes (England) defeated Quist and D. P. Turnbull, 6-8, 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

Women's Singles.—Semi-finals: Miss Hartigan defeated Miss Bickerton, 6-1, 6-3;" Mrs. Molesworth defeated Miss AVilson, 7-5, 6-4.

Women's Doubles. —Final: Mesdames Westacott and Molesworth defeated Misses Hartigan and Valkenburg. 6-8, 64, 6-4. MeGiath started brilliantly against Perry, who was netting ground shots. McGrath cleverly slowed the game and won tho first two sets after a great baseline battle. Perry forced tho pace' in tho last three, gained a better length on his drives, and came to the net successfully. The Englishman also served brilliantly in a crisis.
