"SOUTHERN GARDENS"

"The South Island gardens are very bright now with zinnias, antirrhinums', dahlias, and many other flowers. The Christchuroh gardens arc a picture, and I loved the gay spread of antirrhinums. At' Hakaia station there are lovely flower beds, bright with many coloured blooms. Dowu south' people seem to beautify their towns lots more than we up' here, I think. Ashburton Domain is charming with its green lawns and Tjrilliant flower beds. There are acres and acres of green playing fields. All the town's games are played there —basketball, tennis, .bowls, hockey, croquet, and football. , ■ , ( "SUNSET" (13). " Ponatahi.
