In connection with a query by W.-'B. Reilly regarding the Jasper, "W.D." has written stating that the ship waS a barquentine of about 300' tons; She was fitted with bulkheads between each hatch and came-to Dunedin from the islands. "If I remember right," he states, "she-was not heard of after leaving there.- She was one Of" the Rant'apites of Glasgow, and her fore and after sails were brailed in like spankers. :. .1 only remember her making one trip here.'* '■■■■■
